Your website may be gorgeous on a desktop, but what’s the functionality like on mobile? With e-commerce, most of your sales will come from mobile, so make sure that has the best user-experience possible or you will lose out on sales!
2. No Popup Promotion
This can be a variety of things, ranging from offering a free e-book, limited time sale, contest and our favorite, offering a discount code to first-time visitors. People are savvy, so instead of having them look for deals, offer one right off the bat!
3. Inconsistent Social Presence
Don’t create social pages “just because”. Take time to nurture this additional source of traffic and post at least every other day to help grow your presence and stand out from the competition.
4. Broad Social Ads
Not all web traffic and engagement is good. You can get all the clicks in the world but it won’t translate into sales. Instead, identify your target markets and promote to those people. Sure, clicks will be more expensive, but you can actually see a return on investment!
5. Ignoring Abandoned Carts
These people were on the verge of purchasing what you offer. If you don’t retarget them with an email or a social ad, you are literally missing out on tons of sales. Stop shooting yourself in the foot and start retargeting your customers asap!
